G.A. PRECISION MCMILLAN FBI HRT COMPLETE ISSUE/DEPLOYMENT PACKAGE IN 6.5 CREEDMOOR WITH TWO OPTICS, CASE AMMO, BIPOD, SPOTTING LIGHT, SLING, SUREFIRE SUPPRESSOR READY BRAKE WITH SUREFIRE WARDEN +++ READ ON!

First let’s kick Alex and the CCR crowd out.. this real live FBI HRT rifle and all accessories are new manufacture in the new sniper 6.5 Creedmoor format. Yes the FBI HRT officially still use the .308 Winchester in either H.S. Precision or the newer G.A. Precision rifles; a few FNH are also still in inventory. While SOCOM, Homeland Security, and numerous other agencies are transitioning or have already completely adopted the 6.5 Creedmoor the FBI officially has not and “evaluations” continue while certain FBI personnel ARE using the 6.5 Creedmoor. One of the issues with the current studies are performance thru barriers specifically glass; think “storefront” glass. Over a decade has been spent perfecting specific round performance thru barriers/glass with .308 rounds but the verdict supposedly is out on the same performance with the 6.5.  The 6.5 Creedmoor has already proven itself in every arena as superior to the .308 except, perhaps, in close quarter sniper scenarios (under 100 yards) as the 175 grain issue .308 sniper round is slightly heavier than the 140 grain Creedmoor. HOWEVER performance and lethality overall seem to be equivalent out to a couple hundred yards at which point the Creedmoor destroys the .308 to 1500+ yards! So what is the real issue? FBI HRT sniper engagements average 40 yards ish. They do not engage at 800, 900, 1200 yards. Ok, maybe once at like 300? Lon Horiuchi the infamous (not in a good way) FBI HRT sniper from both Waco and Ruby Ridge was 200 yards away from the cabin at Ruby Ridge and screwed the pooch when he shot weaver in the back exiting thru the arm, the wife in the face (thru the front door) with a bullet meant for Harris. By all accounts he also shot at the daughter.. and missed. It is said Horiuchi even today lives on a military base in hiding. Fascinating story but I digress.. hey and don’t get me wrong I am all red, white, and blue. But gee yeah I think Horiuchi did screw the pooch. Anyhoo average FBI engagement 40 yards. Ish. So the .308 is perfect for that distance that scenario even though overall the 6.5 is, again, superior in every other way.

Ok so let’s rock! You are buying a sniper rifle with what a decade ago would be called a bull barrel. It is a sniper rifle. Not a hike 10 miles hunting rifle. That said it is a SUPERIOR hunting rifle from a fixed emplacement, ie, blind, tower, tree stand. Coyote’s are hammered and also an awesome long range beanfield deer rifle, antelope rifle, etc. “Bull” barrel insures more accuracy from the shooter as the heavier the rifle the less movement once the crosshairs are settled, faster cooling period, yada yada. Rifle with everything attached and loaded is about 16-17lbs. FBI contract requirements state each HRT rifle must shoot 1/2 MOA. GAP guarantees this rifle will shoot less than 3/8 MOA; try 1/4″.

Premier G.A. Precision FBI HRT rifle new manufacture package includes the top of the line Nightforce 4-16 illuminated ATACR on Spuhr mount, Harris KMW podloc bipod, Magpul 2 point sling (matching), Streamlight TLR-1 HPL 400 yard spotlight on picatinny rail. Second optic is the government issue Trijicon Type 2 RMR with Government UID stamp/code. Surefire muzzle brake, SOCOM, suppressor ready. The Surefire SOCOM suppressor screws on over the brake itself so no fuss, no muss. The Surefire brake however is removable if’n you choose to use a different suppressor.  Surefire Warden included which also screws on over the Surefire brake. The warden accomplishes several tasks to include expelling all gases to the front. This precludes the “dust up” from a sniper shot while in the prone where any dust/dirt/debris under the muzzle is kicked up forming a “cloud” which in addition to laying a coat of crap all over your optics can expose your position. In addition in a training/match  scenario you are not harassing shooters to either side. The brake itself lowers the already low 6.5 recoil to the nigh to non-existent level again allowing a shooter to engage more accurately. RIFLE IS SHOWN WITH AN AN/PEQ-15 LASER DESIGNATOR WHICH HAS TWO INVISIBLE LASERS AND ONE VISIBLE LASER AND NV “FLASHLIGHT” AND IS NOT NOT NOT INCLUDED. THE ATPIAL AN/PEQ-15 OR SBT (SQUARE BOX THINGY) IN FRONT OF THE SCOPE ON THE NIGHT VISION RAIL IS NOT NOT INCLUDED!

The FBI HRT A3-5 McMillan stock is simply a work of art and would take 3000 words to do justice to. Simply google the McMillan A3-5 for the complete story.. suffice to say the comb height is adjustable, LOP is adjustable, six QD sling attach points, tons  more. Accepts Accuracy International magazines, one included. Illuminated premier ATACR has the correct reticle Mil-R which includes the “enemy combatant” grid for range estimation. Please do not not not say you would prefer a Christmas Tree reticle. Really. Please. Pretty please. This is a one shot one kill platform not a spray and pray. 4-16 in this Nightforce gets you to 1000 yards easy. Trijicon RMR for emergency CQB use from muzzle to 100 yards plus if need be.

COST/BUILD: You can order this exact rifle from G.A. Precision for $5215 shipped no optics, no bipod, nada. This is the link to their exact cost for this rifle https://www.gaprecision.net/fbi-hrt-rifle.html  Add the Nightforce ATACR illuminated w/ Zero Hold $2550 @ Optics Planet, Spuhr mount SP-4006 with integral anti cant device (bubble level) $410, Harris with KMW podloc $179, Magpul 2 point QD sling (matching) MS4 $60, Streamlight spotlight $197 Optics Planet. Custom fitted drag bag for this HRT rifle $214. Case Hornady 200 round $26 per box x 10= $260 total. Barrel break in, scope mounting, data validation with box test, 100 yard zero $377. Total to “build” one is $9462. Az pays tax, visa mc discover AMEX add 3.5%.  Really gotta have the SBT AN/PEQ-15 add $1255 USD. Pick up and shoot package with both optics zeroed. Simply pick up, load up, and shoot!
