$3,450.00

Description

FN FNH FNX TACTICAL .45 ACP PREMIER BLACK  LE SWAT TACTICAL EDITION THREADED BARREL SUPPRESSOR READY TRIJICON ISSUE RMR RED DOT SUPPRESSOR HEIGHT TRITIUM SIGHTS 400 ROUNDS AMMO TO INCLUDE PREMIER WILSON COMBAT HORNADY XTP +P AND 5 MAGAZINES AND RANGE BAG AND SOFT CASE AND AND AND..

PISTOL: Manufacturer’s statements and accolades are all over the net so I leave that for you to Google but I will share the following: Hmm. I really like this pistol yet I exclusively shoot Glock 17’s. It is the black LE version in .45 ACP for those whom just gotta have that hammer but it holds 16 rounds.. one less than my Glock 9mm. Hmm. It has a decocker which can be used in SAO or DAO mode; this means the safety (which is a decocker not a safety but for ease of analysis) when up makes the trigger useless. You can pull the trigger all day and it freely moves fully to the rear and forward but does not engage the hammer; as with any 1911 type safety you simply sweep it down or off and the hammer system is engaged allowing a first round double action shot (as a revolver) with subsequent follow up in single action (as a 1911) when you pull the trigger. This allows the operator an enhanced margin of personal safety as if in a fisticuff situation (ok CQB, hand to hand, what have you) if the pistol is lost and retrieved or snatched by the adversary the odds of said adversary being knowledgeable of a decocker are slim and allows the original operator time to adjust their method of assault ie braining the sumbitch.  By the By you can also carry the pistol cocked with the decocker on allowing your first round to be single action; added bonus. Threaded barrel means you can, but do not need to, add or use a suppressor. Works quite wondrously as is ie sans suppressor. Means no suppressor needed.

The ergonomics of this pistol are, ok, better than the full size Glock. Yes it has modular backstraps (throw them away) but the grip as is allows all but those with the smallest hands a standard high grip butting against the beavertail. Super. The slide has a lower bore axis so with the red dot installed it has the same sight signature as the Glock 17 or 19 with no red dot. In other words the sight picture is no higher than a standard sight picture even with the RMR red dot. No small feat as typically a red dot on a pistol insures the operator must look and find the dot taking up time. No such issue here acquisition of dot is instantaneous.

Gotta admit they had me when I opened the outer box to discover a high quality inner box instead of styrofoam or cheap plastic which in turn holds a high quality canvas case for the pistol and accoutrements. Colt Pythons are delivered in cheapo plastic cases as are all Colt’s, S&W, Glock, Sig all same same cheap ass trash cases. FN is obviously proud of this pistol and it shows from the start.

OPTICS: Premier top of the line 6.5 MOA dot in the RM07 gives the user the biggest dot available for instantaneous CQB acquisition. The dot size gives the user the ability to locate the dot quickly which is ideal for close quarter engagements and as a side benefit is a great solution for those who have vision problems. Trijicon RMR is contracted for, and adopted by, USSOCOM. Easy-to-use buttons on the sides of the optic allow the user to adjust the illumination brightness, toggle between manual and automatic modes, and power down the RMR for storage. If a manual mode has been chosen, the RMR will remain in manual mode for 16.5 hours following the last push of a button. After 16.5 hours, the optic will default back to the automatic mode so that the RMR will be ready for your next mission or task. All RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED sights are compatible with night vision devices. Additionally, the user can also lock out the buttons so that the RMR functions in automatic mode only. This ensures that inadvertent button pushes do not cause a loss of aiming solution.

SIGHTS: Suppressor height night sights are three dot green tritium and co-witness through the RMR. If the RMR is not on or broke (both nigh to impossible as the battery life is 4 years) you can use the iron sights with the RMR installed on the slide.

AMMUNITION #1: Wilson Combat premier line 200 grain Hornady XTP .45 ACP +P unopened case, new manufacture, 200 rounds. The Hornady XTP is well known and used for extreme self defense requirements and is a +P loading that reaches the upper limit of .45 ACP performance. The Hornady XTP jacketed hollowpoint achieves unmatched accuracy and steady performance in a wide variety of test mediums and in real-world reports. One full 200 round case should last you a decade plus. And no Alex it will not “expire”.

AMMUNITION #2: Full 200 round brick of FMJ 230 grain practice/outdoor ammunition. This Full Metal Jacket load conforms to the Geneva Conventions which means it will go through a humanoid and probably another and maybe a wall or two. Not self nor home defense ammunition. Note the brand is “whatever is in stock” when you purchase! Yes you get the Wilson Combat ammo but the FMJ ammo is whatever is in stock..

MAGAZINES: Ships with five (5) FNH OEM fifteen round magazines. Ten round substitution magazines available.

GPS RANGE BAG: Model GPS-1411MRBPMB offers more than any other bag in it’s class. This range bag is equipped with lift ports on each end that allow you to maneuver the bag more easily. Features padded walls and bottom to protect firearms when traveling to and from the range. The shoulder strap is reinforced with metal hardware to increase the durability of this bag’s hands-free carry option. Lockable heavy-duty zippers that allow for secure, legal transport of your firearms. Within the front pocket are specialized magazine pockets and elastics for holding a cleaning rod and gun cleaning spray. The wide U-shaped top opening offers easy access to the range bag’s contents such as large ammo boxes. The Medium Range Bag offers convenient, secure transportation for your ammo, handguns, and other shooting accessories. Custom color pattern “Blackout”.

MANUFACTURERS STATEMENT:  Developed and enhanced under the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, the FNX™-45 is a double-action/single-action hammer-driven pistol with manual safety/decocking levers, slide stop lever, and magazine release; fully ambidextrous. Slide and barrel are stainless steel. Checkered polymer frame has multiple interchangeable backstraps with lanyard eyelets. A MIL-STD-1913 mounting rail on the underside accepts tactical lights and lasers. It is the latest in technological advancements in handgun engineering, offering .45 ACP performance and a host of unique features that no other handgun can match. 15-round magazine is precisely engineered to take a dive to the prone position and naturally roll up toward the target. Low-bore axis for reduced felt recoil, enhanced operator control, and a grip angle that provides unmatched natural point of aim. Threaded muzzle to accept sound suppressors, compensators, and other accessories.

COST/BUILD: There are several models of the FNX; this is the most expensive one, FNX-45B MOS TRB (threaded barrel, black). On Gunbroker today there are a few for $1425 shipped without an RMR or ammo. Trijicon RMR is $710 and is installed with the proper screw set (have fun getting yours).
