1)) GEISSELE CARBINE: These SOCOM carbines are 100% civilian legal even though they are the actual 14.5″ barrels. The SOCOM Surefire flash hiders are pinned so the OAL overall length is 16″ which means civilians can purchase without a stamp; if you can buy a .22 revolver you can buy these! Note these are NON CATALOG Geissele issue firearms; Geissele will not sell you a 14.5″ carbine their catalog allows civilians to purchase 16″ barrel rifles only.. which are NOT SOCOM issue. Rockegroup will sell these carbines legally to civilians however. Why 14.5″ barrels? Every military optic for the M4 platform (which these are) have 14.5″ barrels and every military optic with a BDC (ballistic drop compensator) is manufactured and tuned and calibrated for a 14.5″ barrel. Any military optic for the 5.56 NATO round that has more than one hashmark is distance verified for that length barrel; for instance the included Trijicon 4X ACOG in matching color has an illuminated green reticle with hash marks for the EXACT M4 14.5″  barrel and is marked with each hash/line marked and numbered past 600 meters. Target at 400 meters? Put the line at number “4” on your target.  600? Put the corresponding line marked “6” on it. These SOCOM issue carbines are in the SOCOM required color; DDC or “Desert Dirt Color”. Geissele is the only manufacturer for DDC issue SOCOM equipment. Note these carbines still have some factory cosmoline on them; they are blemish free and brand new. DDC is a multi-faceted color and the color does change slightly form batch to batch; considered “camoflauge”. SOCOM issue URGI Geissele upper includes SOCOM Surefire flash hider which accepts the SOCOM issue Surefire suppressor; screws on OVER the flash hider. Surefire SOCOM suppressors are readily available on the civilian market and are manufactured and marketed by Surefire themselves. Carbine includes the Airborne Super Charging Handle in DDC from Geissele, the SSA Geissele trigger group, numbered picatinny rail, M-LOK Crane certified, multiple sling attach ports, new edition magazine release/catch (double oversized), NSN stamped. Trigger guard opens for gloved use in sub zero temps. USSOCOM or SOCOM is the parent organization for the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets), Delta, SEALS, Rangers, Marine Force Recon; they have a nearly unlimited budget and can buy and carry whatever they want. They chose these. Enough said?

2)) OPTICS: Government issue M4 optic the Trijicon 4X ACOG which allows the end user a simplistic scale to effectively engage and hit targets beyond 600 meters in a fast and efficient manner. Green reticle marked to 1000 meters. Second optic is mounted on the ACOG and is the Trijicon RMR Type 2 red dot for CQB close quarter battle. Room clearing and close quarter use from one foot to 100 meters the red dot allows the end user to utilize the optic with both eyes open increasing situational awareness and insuring faster target acquisiton. The third set of sights are back up iron sights and are mounted on the ACOG itself, offset, port side. Emergency use spot on to 50 meters easy. Unit is stamped with the Government UID plate port side. Unit is mounted on the SOCOM Larue mount which is a quick release mount. Can be installed or removed in seconds; when re-installed holds original zero / POI. Units ship with optics zeroed. Simply pick up, load up, and shoot!

3)) ACCESSORIES: Government issue Okay magazines, 5, matching color.  These are issue OKAY mags in matching color direct from Okay with NSN numbers. Magpul MS4 sling, two point, matching, adjustable, issue with NSN number. Surefire Scout Light Pro, new model for the SOCOM URGI. Fits with a top picatinny rail mount and folds into the transition from the upper picatinny rail to the octagon M-LOK adaptable rail system itself. Flush fit index finger control; white light past 175 meters. M-LOK starboard rail with M-LOK barrier stop and hand stop. One full unopened case of premier ammunition Sierra 69 grain HPBT MatchKing. Note there is no mention of a pistol or pistol holder or my chest rig Alex!

4)) COST/BUILD: You cannot buy a 14.5 inch issue DDC SOCOM carbine from Geissele but you can order a 16 inch version for $2000, pay in advance, wait months, and get yours! Then find a real issue 4X ACOG w/ RMR and BUIS stamped on the interior glass “M4” TA31-D-100554 for $2240 (Trijicon website) which includes the Larue mount. Five Okay issue mags $100, Magpul Ms4 dual point sling $66, Surefire PRO series with adaptive URGI mount $188, MLOK equipped $54, 200 round cased premier Sierra 69 grain ammunition $225.
