ROCKEGROUP CUSTOM BUILD AND EVAL: One cold bore and fouling round followed by all rounds through the same hole; counting the fouling round group average is .44. OPTICS: Military branded Nightforce ATACR Tremor III C637 4-20 x 50 F1 Illuminated Zero Stop. ATACR is the top of the line for Nightforce. Magnification range starts at 4x power and tops at 20x power. The ATACR line is so crystal that at 4x power you have a crystal image at 15 feet to infinity. The key here is 15 feet.. 4x typically does not allow for crystal magnification at such range. You can engage and make the apricot shot as close as 15 feet. This rifle with this 16 inch sniper barrel will reach and extirpate at 900 meters for the experienced shooter. Call it a thousand yard shooter. You can toggle between red or green illumination.
TREMOR III TREMOR 3 RETICLE: All elite branches of the military use the Tremor III reticle. Illuminated. Hunters for some reason think they need them as do the majority of other end users for some other reason. The Tremor III does enhance the capabilities of this rifle for long range use if you have a spotter and or if you can see a first round impact. Spotting your first round impact allows the end user to immediately adjust for a second round hit. In addition for the extremely experienced schooled sniper the Tremor III does offer capabilities beyond a typical reticle. Personally I think it is a little overkill but it is not detrimental, so have at it. While we are on the subject 20x power is a little overkill since the average LE sniper shot is 40 yards ish, but again, have at it!
SPUHR ANTI-CANT W/ SPUHR RINGS: The finest mounts in the world, Spuhr, manufactured Loddekoping, South of Sweden. 34mm with an integral anti-cant device (bubble level) in the front ring; the rear ring has a second Spuhr anti cant device which is above the parallax dial. Perfect solution for shooters who are unable to focus on the built-in level in the front ring. The angle of the assembly can be adjusted using two set screws.
CALIBER .308 WINCHESTER: The .308 Winchester has been the premier LE, Government, and Military sniper round for a couple decades and ain’t going anywhere. Yes past 600-700 yards the 6.5 Creedmoor can be a better performer; or the 6.5 PRC, or the latest greatest ELD VLD 1600 yard shooters. Truth is the .308 in premier rifles with premier ammunition is actually a BETTER performer at practical LE / HRT sniper distance. In addition ammunition availability is literally everywhere in the entire world. Every NATO country uses the 7.62 and/or .308 Winchester. Every police department. Homeland Security, Capital Police, BATFE, Border Patrol BORTAC, US Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard. Russia is using the .308 Winchester in sniper rifles in Syria. Seriously.
BERGER 175 GRAIN OTM TACTICAL: Two unopened cases, 400 rounds. Berger 175 Grain OTM (Open Tip Match) Tactical Rifle Bullets are a Boat Tail design used by Military/Law Enforcement professionals and competitive shooters who seek the highest accuracy possible. The 175 Grain OTM Tactical is excellent for bolt action sniper/target rifles where magazine feeding is absolutely necessary. Often used beyond mid-range distances out to 1,000 yards or more. ATLAS DUOFOLD BIPOD: BT65 Gen. 2 CAL Atlas Bipod. This bipod will fold forward or backward and has a wider stance than the standard bipod; wider stance enhances stability. Fully adjustable, lockable. KMW Pod-Loc installed.
MID EVIL TRIPOD: The QD TRIPOD has a single hand operated lock & unlock mechanism. There’s no button, no twisting – just a simple slide down to release & slide up to lock. It can be set to 3 different heights. Just push, click & lock – easy to use. Rock steady rest when used with a stock bag.. like the included Ulfhednar. Note the tripod has a “pop on pop off” feature. It literally “pops” on the rifle when the picatinny tripod attachment is on it in one second.
BIPOD TRIPOD DISCLOSURE: The Cal duofold bipod mounts to a picatinny rail via 2 screws. It is mounted on the rifle and fits in the hard case, mounted, ready to go. The tripod as explained has it’s own mount; you can use one or the other in seconds BUT to switch between the two and unscrew the bipod would take a minute. Point is you need to make sure before your mission which you want as the INITIAL set up.. one or the other.

MAGAZINE DISCLOSURE: The standard 3 round magazines are $99 on the HS website. The 10 round magazines are $139 + $30 “tuned”. Total for one 10 round HS mag is $169. HS Precision has inserted and removed each magazine a dozen + times to insure flawless function. The bolt has been run by HS Precision 20-30 times to insure flawless function. HS Precision fired the rifle and insured accuracy, flawless function, and provided a “Certificate of Conformance” stating the same (included). Rockegroup, LLC will zero the rifle after purchase or shipped unfired by Rockegroup, LLC your choice.
TRIGGER DISCLOSURE: HS Precision factory certificated trigger, sniper, curved, flat face, wide. Pre-set 2.5-3lbs. To the uninitiated this is considered a “hair trigger”. It is set for the professional level shooter and is not adjustable. A lighter trigger would be used for the benchrest shooter with a 20lb rifle which never moves.. not on a sniper platform. This trigger is the standard for the Tier One operator and is authorized for the certificated sniper by all Federal and LEO entities.
OTIS LE CLEANING KIT: The Otis cleaning kit is government issue and has a specific circular cut out in the issue hard case.

HUNTING RIFLE?: You betcha. Superior accuracy. At 11.4lbs with bipod and scope loaded good to go. Too heavy? Overall length of the rifle is 36 inches so the weight is centered and balanced. Perfect deer and mid sized game rifle. Keep in mind this rifle shoots ANY .308 cartridges which means you can push this to the Elk and Moose level with proper ammunition.
