STEYR 9MM SIG SAUER 9MM JHP STEYR C9-A2 MF SIG SAUER V-CROWN AMMUNITION JHP 1000 ROUNDS CASED TRU-GLO ++

ROCKEGROUP REVIEW/THROW OUT YOUR GLOCKS: These pistols are the pinnacle of the striker fired “polymer” pistol line for numerous reasons which we will itemize below. Prior to that here is a factoid.. I would shoot these exact pistols exclusively if I were not so heavily invested in our Glock’s. Might have to anyway. We own, personally, fifteen Glock G17C 9mm Gen 3 pistols with about a hundred magazines and shoot them religiously. We have eight (8) in our range bag we shoot at Ben Avery routinely and we have eight cause we roll through our drills and they get hot. Smoking hot here in Az when it is 110 on the range. You figure out where the other seven are. So to switch would be a huge investment. But..

These pistols force you, the novice or semi literate shooter, to be more proficient and allow the pro some latitude when he/she ends up in compromising positions. How so?

1. Check out the “beavertail”. The ergonomics/shape of the grip and beavertail force the shooter to adopt a proper “high grip”. An average shooter on your range cannot shoot fast (accurately) for numerous reasons but one main reason is they grip the pistol grip itself without having the space between the thumb and forefinger shoved up hard and flush with the beavertail itself. In other words all the way up at the top of the grip hard against the top of the frame/bottom of slide. This action alleviates a vast majority of muzzle flip and aids in control. Reduced muzzle flip and increased control = sights on target for fast follow up. Also note the massive beavertail protrudes over one inch to the rear AND THE STEEL SLIDE ACTUALLY STARTS AT THE REAR OF THE BEAVERTAIL.

2. Slide at the rear of the beavertail means the weight of the steel slide itself is further back on your hand which tends to force a tighter grip. With the weight further back your pistol is “balanced” and of course the tighter grip decreases further said flip and aids in control.

3. Trigger is the best trigger ever ever installed on a striker fired pistol. You have to call it a “two stage” trigger as you pull through the “safety” with zip resistance. When you hit the “trigger” there is NO creep.. simply a crisp break. Once your shot is fired the reset is an SRT system or short reset; if you know how to use reset this short reset allows for psyko fast follow up. Absolutely stunning and now we know where they get the “MF” moniker.

4. This is considered their “C” version or “Compact” pistol. It is not. It is similar to a G45 Glock which has a G17 frame and a G19 slide. This pistole has the full sized frame which holds 17 rounds and a “shorter” slide (not). The barrel is shy of 4″ and will shoot holes in holes at 15 feet forever. The 25 yard “reach” is no issue. The slide is fatter in width than a Glock which spreads weight out and allows for even more recoil control. This means you can go to a 5 day shooting course with this duty pistol. It is not not not a compact pistol regardless of marketing..

5. Grip stippling insures these are non slip, but in addition there is stippling for your thumb and forefinger lying parallel to the barrel. Simply more awesomeness.

6. Front and rear press check serrations with far edge frame cuts for your index finger when off trigger.

7-12. Properly flared magwell for your fumbled reloads *  Massive trigger guard for gloved operation * Magazines have orange followers with plastic/rubber buttpads * Picatinny rail * No external safety aka Glock. Simply pick up and go to work..
