The lower receiver features PROPERTY OF THE US GOVT, M4A1 CARBINE, and CAL. 5.56 MM. The barrel is a true SOCOM 14.5 heavy barrel with the iconic M203 flats under the Knights Armament Rail System. Extended flash hider has been pinned and welded to achieve a non-NFA length of 16.1 = civilian legal. Includes the side sling swivel at the gas block and an ambidextrous safety selector. Bayonet lug. Manufactured 100% by Colt for SOCOM.

UNITED STATES ARMY GREEN BERET DEPLOYMENT PACKAGE: First for you kids the United States Army has the elite “Special Forces” aka “Green Berets”. The Navy does not have Special Forces. They have SEALS. The Marines do not have Special Forces. They have Force Recon. When they were lumped under one command (SOCOM) somehow they all began to be “Special Forces” including the U.S. Army Rangers. To insure accuracy for this listing “Special Forces” refers specifically to the “Green Berets”.

SPECIAL FORCES HARDIGG DEPLOYMENT CASE: The included “SF” (Special Forces) hard case was custom build at the specific request of Green Berets out of Ft. Bragg by Hardigg (purchased by Pelican). It was a limited contract run specifically for the Green Berets. Hard case holds the M4A1 carbine as shown with accessories; unique to the military Hardigg contract cases the Special Forces case lid (upper) has cut outs for 30 round magazines, the OTIS cleaning kit, and a suppressor slot. These cases were contract ordered form Hardigg/Pelican, are brand new, and have never been issued. There are Hardigg/pelican M4 cases on the market but there are no true SF cases with the custom lid enhancements available; the only new unissued issue SF cases are under the purview of Rockegroup, LLC.

EOTECH EXPS NIGHT VISION COMPATIBLE OPTICS: Special Forces uses numerous scopes and optics but their go to standard is the Eotech EXPS 3 series holographic red dot in Desert Tan or DDC. The one MOA dot has a battlefield zero of 325 yards when zeroed at 50 yards; hits 1 1/2″ high at 100, dead on at 200 yards, drop at 325 still insures silhouette smackdown. Compatible with issue night vision. Unit is on a quick release mount and can be removed in 2 seconds. Holds zero when remounted.

EOTECH MAGNIFIER: The G33 and G43 3x power magnifiers on quick release mounts are utilized as required. Special Forces has the magnifier in black, not Tan or DDC. Go figure. Your carbine has the later version of the 3x magnifier (G43) which is shorter and takes up less rail space. Magnifier has a focus ring which adjusts to adapt to individual eyesight and insures a crisp red dot when utilized.

GEISSELE SOCOM TRIGGER GROUP: Special Forces does not use “battle triggers”. They are removed immediately and replaced with Geissele units. Your Special Forces M4A1 carbine is shipped with the professional level Geissele package installed.

U.S. GOVT ISSUE M9 BAYONET: Multi-purpose knife and bayonet featuring a 7-inch blade and issued with a sheath designed to double as a wire cutter. Designed to function not only as a combat knife but also as a multi-tool capable of serving as a wire cutter, metal slicer, bottle opener and screwdriver.

MAGPUL COYOTE BROWN MAGAZINES: The U.S. Army has a wild and wacky history of magazines for their carbines but Special Forces has predominately used Magpul in FDE and Coyote Brown. Twelve Magpul Coyote Brown magazines are included.

COST/BUILD: You can find a Colt SOCOM today for $1450 shipped in a cardboard box. If you look hard enough you can find a Hardigg M4 case for $770 without the magazine and OTIS cut outs in the lid.
