GOVERNMENT ISSUE M4: New manufacture, never issued. The exact firearm issued to the U.S. military; the selector switch has “AUTO” for fully automatic fire but is non-functional; these are 100% civilian legal. If you can buy a .22 revolver you can buy one of these! These are 100% authentic as issued except they are semi-automatic.. the full auto selector switch is not operational and these cannot be converted to fully automatic M4 carbines. Military rifle made to FN’s, and the U.S. military’s exacting specifications. The semi-automatic rifle is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and features a 16-inch, 1:7 RH, button-broached, and chrome-lined barrel. The government mandated UID-labeled lower receiver is equipped with an ambidextrous selector switch standard on the M4A1. Knight’s Armament M4RAS adaptor rail, numerically numbered rail, bayonet lug, flash hider. A2 adjustable rear sight to 600 meters with adjustable front sight.
FN VS COLT: Not here to argue; Colt has been kicked out of supplying our military on more than one occasion due to inferior product. FN acquired the M4 and M16 contracts and fulfilled them exceeding military specifications. Colt has since been allowed back into the fold and has been supplying our troops again (along with FN). That said give a grunt a choice they will take the FN. Superior product. SOCOM has been taking the Colt lowers, throwing away the uppers, and replacing the uppers with the URGI upper. Last I checked FN was the number one small arms provider to the United States.
AIMPOINT COMP M4s RED DOT: The Comp M4s is the finest red dot on the market today, and has been for a decade or so. It is directly responsible for thousands of deceased enemy combatants and is virtually indestructible. “CompM4s series of sights are the finest sights Aimpoint has ever produced. Improvements include advanced energy efficiency that provides up to 8 years of continuous use from a single AA battery. There are more than 1 million sights from the Comp M4 series in use by NATO allies worldwide. This is the standard infantry soldier sight in NATO countries. Standard Law Enforcement use for all Homeland Security entities and domestic Law Enforcement. These optics are extremely rugged and operate continuously for up to 8 years using a single AA battery. Aimpoint CompM4s is the latest version of the U.S. Army’s M68CCO (Close-Combat Optic), continuing a legacy that Aimpoint flat out owns”. C’mon guys.. eight years on one AA battery? You never ever turn this off. This is on the upgraded Larue QR quick release mounting system.
ARMORER UPGRADES:
1. Military supplies our troops with battle triggers. Which suck. Select units have been able to have their carbines upgraded with the Geissele trigger group. Geissele allows the end user to roll through the trigger smoothly and has a lighter break which equals increased accuracy.
2. These carbines also have the Magpul single point sling adaptor armorer installed.
3. Single pint sling, bungee, Blue Point.
4. OTIS Government issue cleaning kit, M4A1.
5. Military issue bayonet, new, never issued.
6. Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle.
HARDIGG/PELICAN DEPLOYMENT CASE: The 101st Airborne just “deployed” to Poland. If you looked at them walking out to their bird they are wheeling this exact Hardigg/Pelican case with their individual weapons systems. This is the actual Government issue M4 case, brand new, never issued. These are not available for civilian sale but your package includes this exact new deployment case. Factoid. The 101st Airborne is not Airborne. They wear an Airborne tab which chaps our buttocks quite immensely. They are “legs”, do not go to Airborne school, do not jump, get no jump pay, have no Jumpmasters, no Master Parachutists, nada. The history of the 101st from WWII when they were Airborne apparently precludes the removal of Airborne tabs from their patch.
HARDIGG/PELICAN CASE EMERGENCY NOTICE: The upper portion of the case or “lid” has no cutouts and is one piece of firm foam. Originally they had magazine and accessory cut outs which proved to be detrimental as anything in the upper fell out when you closed the case.
MAGAZINES, ISSUE: Military magazines have transitioned over the last decade more than I can count. Magpul to aluminum and back and back again. These are the actual issue magazines, brand new. You get seven thirty round magazines which fit in your Hardigg/Pelican case. These have a dry lubricant film on them which wears off with time until they are “slick”. They are not scratched; this is the dry film which will rub off. Ask a vet and they will give you a heads up.
AMMUNITION: Full unopened case of new manufacture M193 5.56 NATO ammunition 1000 rounds.
COST/BUILD: You can buy an FN M4 “collector” off of Gunbroker for $1900. Aimpoint issue Comp M4s no mount $844, Larue QR mount installed $200, Geissele trigger group installed $301, Magpul single point sling adaptor installed $130, Blue Point single point quick release sling $99, issue bayonet $149, seven issue magazines $107. Hardigg Pelican issue Government hard case, rollers, M4 cut outs, SF edition, $655. Cased M193 ammunition 1000 rounds $807. Gov’t issue Otis $101, Radian Raptor charging handle installed $79. Total if you could “build” your own would run $5372.
OPTICS ZERO: If you want us to zero the optic the POI point of impact will be dead on at 50 and 200 yards, 1.5 inches high at 100, BZO battlefield zero of 325 yards. “A BZO (battlesight zero) is the sight settings placed on your rifle for combat.” “In combat, your rifle’s BZO setting will enable engagement of point targets from 0–300 yards/meters in a no wind condition.” ~ Marine Corps Reference Publication 3-01A Rifle Marksmanship. This simply means you aim direct at your humanoid/silhouette with no holdover out to 325 yards and are guaranteed a “hit” if you did your part..
