THEIRS DOES NOT HAVE THE TRUE ISSUE SOCOM ELEVATED TURRET AS OUR SOCOM ISSUE UNITS DO AND ARE NOT “TRUE” MK 22 RIFLES! READ SCOPE DESCRIPTION/EXPLANATION BELOW.

THE MARK 22 AS UTILIZED BY SOCOM HAS A BT INDUSTRIES ATLAS (DUOFOLD) BIPOD. THE HARRIS BIPOD ON THEIR BARRET MK22 DENOTES AND INSURES YOU ARE BUYING A PSEUDO COMMERCIAL MAKEOVER.. NIGHTFORCE MILITARY ISSUE USSOCOM UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (SOCOM) MODEL C676 7-35 ATACR OPTICS:
1. Government contract optic, military issue, SOCOM turret which is taller, has larger to see mil markings and has top locking mechanism for the elevation.
2. Naked scope without Nightforce markings.
3. Government mandated contract plate is laser engraved on the objective end of the scope (top) with UID plate.
4. Non -illuminated 7-35 optic required (see below)

NON-ILLUMINATED SOCOM SNIPER SCOPE: An “illuminated” 7-35 long range scope as it is, at the least, a hindrance. The 7-35 is a mid to long range optic in the first focal plane using mils. An illuminated reticle would wash out the target at any distance in low light conditions if utilized making it.. a hindrance. Useless. Lesser experienced shooters demand an “illuminated” reticle due to inexperience and the false impression an illuminated reticle is somehow “better”. A lower power optic in certain conditions, however, may be utilized with an illuminated reticle to advantage.

NON ILLUMINATED SOCOM OPTIC II: This Special Forces SOCOM non illuminated optic is designed to be utilized with Night Vision and or Thermal optics as required. The SOCOM contract military mount is included and may be used for additional optic options to include the laser range finder.

SOCOM NIGHTFORCE VS ARMY LEUPOLD: The Barrett SOCOM MK22 is a current contract at least through 2027 utilizing the Nightforce 7-35 optic ensemble with the upgraded Tremor 3 reticle. The United States Army piggybacked on the SOCOM contract but are using the Leupold Mark 5 HD 5-25x power optic with a MilGrid reticle.
BARRETT MK22 ARMY LEUPOLD EDITION INACCURATE: The Barrett MK22 “commercial” package with the Leupold scope is obviously not close to the issue package; the civilian Leupold package has a 7-35 optic with a T3 reticle while the true Army issue MK22 has a 5-25 optic with a MilGrid reticle. The commercial Leupold scope on the “commercial” MK22 is over 2k less than the Nightforce SOCOM scope as described above.. yet both versions cost the same on the retail and the wholesale market.

SOCOM .300 NORMA: USSOCOM chose the MK 22 Advanced Sniper Rifle chambered in .300 Norma Magnum (designated M1163). Relatively unknown on the civilian market yet has been in service as the premier sniper round for over a decade; adopted by SOCOM in 2017. Current SOCOM contracts through 2027 are for the .300 Norma cartridge aka M1163.

BT INDUSTRIES BIPOD/MONOPOD/TRIPOD: The BT Atlas issue bipod is shown in the pictures folded and flush with the forend. The tripod is also mounted with the bipod. When using the bipod the tripod needs to be removed. The issue monopod folds flat against the stock when not in use.

CERTIFICATED TEST TARGET: The correct way to measure group size is utilizing “mean radius”. The certificated group size of this stunning rifle is documented and certificated at 0.265 of an inch.

TWELVE BARRETT MK22 MAGAZINES: Ships with the full complement of six magazines per rifle, total of twelve 10 round +1 magazines.

BUILD/COST: Barret has a civilian MK22 .300 Norma “package” available on Gunbroker today with Harris bipods, Nightforce 7-35 scopes (without the SOCOM turret), no BT issue monopod nor bipod, no full cut outs in the hardcase. There are a dozen “commercial” versions on Gunbroker and can be had for $14,700 each shipped. Two “commercial” MK22 rifles would run you $29,400. Our brand new issue contract units include the SOCOM elevated turret, the issue BT Atlas bipod, the issue BT Atlas monopod, full case cutouts, twelve magazines, and the bench tripod. All are brand new, never issued. Az pays tax visa mc discover AMEX add 3.5%

SUMMARY: The military issue Mark 22 rifle does not have a Leupold 7-35 scope. It does not have a Harris bipod. It does not have a standard Nightforce turret. It does have an elevated SOCOM turret. It does have a UID laser engraved box on the optic. It does have a BT bipod. It does have a BT monopod. Your “commercial” package is not an accurate issue MK22 rifle.
