GUNWERKS STATEMENT: Magnus stock reduces felt recoil while allowing for higher recoil pad positioning reducing muzzle rise. Magnus is designed and is finely tuned for both firm control in tense situations and when long range, precision shots are in order. ROCKEGROUP STATEMENT: The Magnus stock configuration is Gunwerks “flagship” and is simply awesome. Shockingly weighs in at 7.8 pounds scoped. Twenty inch barrel and accurately spanks steel at 1000 yards. Ballistic Turret means you range to target and turn the turret to that range. Brown Bear/Moose/Elk/Cape Buffalo/ Wolf/ Muley/ Mastodon whatever at 425 yards? Turn the turret to 4.25. Target at 600 yards turn the turret to “6”. Completely tuned, zeroed and set up with the included ammunition and Ballistic Turret. Outperforms the .338 Lapua under 1000 yards w/ 20 inch barrel vs Lapua 26″ barrel.
CALIBER .338 RUM: The .338 RUM is a true long distance cartridge and allows for precision 900 yards shooting (with this rifle). That said I cannot call wind reliably and the longest I can shoot at large game for a one shot kill is about 600 yards.. on a calm morning with no wind. Hence the .338 RUM. Less recoil, insanely accurate, long distance capability, long distance lethality, numerous bullet loads available from white tailed deer to Brown Bear. Literally all North American game.

LEUPOLD MARK 5HD OPTICS: The relatively new MARK 5HD series destroys all comers for one reason.. weight. Swarovski, Kahles, Nightforce, Steiner in the 3-18 range all are pretty much same same regarding optic quality. Kahles are heavy heavy scopes and can be used as clubs if not mounted, Swaros are longer. Nightforce are both heavy and long. The Leupold in the MARK 5HD is a 35mm short, squat, uber lightweight dream at 24 ounces. - TURRET #1 AND AMMUNITION INFO: This rifle is tuned and has a turret for the Gunwerks hand loaded 300 Grain Berger Elite Hunter. This Elite Hunter bullet design increases Ballistic Coefficient values by increasing ogive and boat tail lengths to improve the bullets’ long-range ballistic performance. For the hunter who is confident in long-range big game hunting the Berger Elite cannot be beat.
- TURRET #2 AND AMMUNITION INFO: The 2d turret included should be your standard “go to” turret… at all times. It is for the Barnes 250 Grain LRX commercial loads (from Barnes) and has been used for game up to and including Bison and massive Brown Bear. It is a screamer with a muzzle velocity @ 2900 fps and has the energy at 900 yards to smash an Elk.
- TURRET #3 AND AMMUNITION INFO: The third turret is the Leupold MOA turret. Using any new model quality rangefinder ( Gunwerks/Revic BR4 rangefinder or binos) you enter your cartridge info and the rangefinder or binos will give you a “shoot to” distance in MOA. Simply dial to the MOA number on the rangefinder. This turret will allow you to dial past 1500 yards…
