HILL COUNTRY RIFLES CUSTOM PSYKO CARBON RIFLEMAN EVERY OPTION ITEMIZED IN THE INVOICE SHOWN IN THE PICTURES!
MANNERS MCS-PH STOCK: Google it if you must. Finest hunting stock manufactured today. Ergonomically perfect; grip shelves on each side of the rifle, thumb shelves, butt and grip seem molded to the shooter. HCR upgraded this stock with side mount flush fit cups for sling installation, 20 MOA Defiance rail, bipod pic rail, and custom Multi-Cam schematic.
* The thumb shelf is “about time”. If you want to tighten your groups in seconds quit wrapping your thumb around the stock; your thumb on your trigger hand should be pointing toward the end of the barrel.. resting on the stock.
HAWKINS FLUSH FIT MAGAZINE: The snag free flush fit Hawkins upgrade allows the hunter to carry several magazines on their person. A flush fit magazine allows you to “empty” the rifle hassle free yet reload instantly. In addition to instant reloads these can be top loaded while in the rifle.
5-25 SCOPE YOU ARE NUTS: If you can make a one round kill shot past 1000 yards get a 5-25 scope. The ability to make a kill shot on the first round without a spotter and professional training at that distance, however, is not possible. The longest I will shoot at a game animal on a calm day, no wind, is “around” 550 yards. So let’s be realistic..
* If you use a 5-25 scope to hunt the lowest magnification is 5x or 5 power. You cannot shoot an Elk, Moose, or Brown Bear 30-40 yards away at 5x as the magnification is too high; you cannot “find” in a fast and efficient manner the kill zone. Roxie killed a Brown Bear in Alaska at 35 yards with her scope on 3x. Roxie killed a monster Moose in Alaska at 42 yards with her scope on 3x. The outcome on Wood-Tikchik island with the monster Brown Bear would simply not have happened at 5x power. We were approaching a point when the bear walked out from the other side and instantly stood up staring at us. All parties were taken aback yet Roxie cracked him immediately. Second largest bear ever taken on Wood-Tikchik. She was using a .300 Win Mag which for all practical purposes is the .300 PRC. We we were humping across crazy terrain in 9E when the bruiser Moose walked out from behind a berm.
* Your next problem with a 25x power scope is, at 25x, you cannot find the animal in your scope at 300-400 yards away as the FOV field of view is too narrow. You will fiddle with the scope dialing down to find the animal, then dialing up to shoot the animal. You just made a critical mistake! Shooting the animal at 400-500 yards away (or closer) at high magnification insures that after the shot you “lost” the animal in your scope. You shot, there was recoil, you manipulated the rifle and racked another round, the rifle has moved hither and yon, you look through the scope for a follow up shot.. and see what? Now you need to dial down again to find the animal in your scope. Are you getting this?
LEUPOLD PREMIER 35MM MARK5 HD: Leupold 3-18×44 RH1 MOA is the go to scope. Uberlight, superior quality; allows the end user to utilize the .300 PRC out to the 1400 yard mark with no issue. Leupold MOA turret installed, certificated, and zeroed. Turret dials to 1300 yards (in MOA) on the first revolution. At 3x power you have a crystal sight picture as close as 15 yards yet can crank to 18x power for your 1000 yard shot. This is the most compact lightweight hunting scope on the market today which makes it the finest rifle scope on the market today.
LEUPOLD NUMERIC MOA “DIAL TO DISTANCE”: Any current quality rangefinder such as the Revic BR4 gives you a “shoot to” solution using this rifle. Your bullet data is entered into the rangefinder. Once you “range” your target it gives a shooting solution in yards and MOA. You enter your ballistics into rangefinding binos or a rangefinder via Bluetooth or mini SD card. Then, when you range a target, it calculates elevation, pressure, temperature, angle and your ballistics in a millisecond and gives you the range and a dial-to solution. All you have to do is turn your turret and take the shot. Easy Peasey. If you need help we can do this for you.
HILL COUNTRY RIFLES LONG RANGE PACKAGE: Includes barrel break in, scope validation, MOA turret, tuned rifle with ammunition, rifle zero.
GUNWERKS ELEVATE BIPOD: The most capable hunting weight bipod on the market; designed to be the the perfect bipod to pair with any lightweight hunting rifle. Updated design improvements on the Elevate 2.0 optimize nearly every aspect of the bipod. Quick detach bipod.
GUNWERKS/REVIC TRIPOD: The Revic “Hunter” tripod has the most stability for shooting. With an adjustable height from 3 to 62 inches, you can build a solid position regardless of the terrain. Weight is 3.3 lbs and holds 36 lbs. Includes the ball and head and clamps directly to the Swiss-Arca rail on your rifle. Three inches to sixty two inches.. in seconds.
HORNADY PRECISION HUNTER: 300 PRC Ammo 212 Grain Hornady ELD-X Polymer Tip full 200 round unopened case.
SUPPRESSOR READY CAUSE YOU ARE NUTS: This professional grade hunting rifle has a 22″ Supermatch Proof barrel and shoots under 1/2″ groups, documented. It is suppressor ready threaded 5/8 x 24 for any ding dong that wants to hunt with a suppressor.
* Add 8 inches to the length of the rifle so the barrel sticks out over your head.. 8 inches. Weather in a rifle pack (Eberlestock) or slung you cannot walk under/through trees or anything but open terrain.
* Add a pound of weight to the end of your barrel. Smart on a hunt. On the range you are shooting from a bench or prone, supported, so you have no issues. On a real hunt you are shooting from an improvised position and your suppressed 30 inch long barrel with a pound of weight at the tip will most definitely screw you and your sight picture up. But you will look cool..
* You are firing one kill shot and maybe a couple follow up shots. Why drag around an extra pound and 8 extra inches?
* While I am on a roll.. why are you using a ransom rest on the range to check your zero and practice? Are you dragging a ransom rest to Alaska with you on your hunt? You need to practice shooting under field conditions as much as possible. Off your pack, sitting off your pack, off your tripod, off a tree trunk. Guarantee your POI will be different than when you used the rest.
