NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM COMMANDER 1911 10MM “VIP, BLACK”: The VIP Black Commander is designed to be a true heirloom quality pistol. It features custom vertical front strap and mainspring housing serrations for a classy look. The rear of the slide has been hand serrated to match the Heinie Black rear sight. The front sight sports an 14k solid gold bead, adding to the class of the pistol. The 4.25” match grade barrel has been crowned and deep hand engraving is featured throughout the slide and frame. The pistol is finished with a classy, black DLC finish. To top off the package, giraffe bone grips create an elegant look that will last for generations. An elite pistol, the VIP Black Commander is the epitome of style and class in a 1911. Each pistol comes with a custom walnut hardwood presentation case to proudly display such an exquisite piece. This firearm truly is a “Very Impressive Pistol”.
NOTE CUSTOM UPGRADES: Standard VIP pistols come with grip screws utilized with a flathead screwdriver. To utilize this VIP as a shooter Nighthawk Custom provided tactical grips (matching) with Nighthawk medallions (matching). The flathead screws were replaced with finished Marvel torx grip screws to prevent inadvertent scratches during grip change.
10MM CARTRIDGE UPGRADE: The 10mm is the most versatile pistol cartridge available today; from full boat bear loads to self defense/offense humanoid loads and everything in between, there is ammunition manufactured for that specific job. The 10mm is used by Slædepatruljen Sirius (Sirius Sledge Patrol) headquartered in Daneborg, Northeast Greenland as a defense against polar bears which the unit encounters during patrols; with full boat loads from Buffalo Bore it has three feet of penetration. Three feet. HOWEVER, the 10mm is one of the most versatile cartridges available on the market as you can buy not only Polar Bear protection loads but home protection loads such as Critical Defense ammunition specifically developed to neutralize humanoid threats; cause massive cavitation, necrosis, and horrific lethal wound channels. Oh, and they have 29 other loads for everything in between! Barnes has a 200 grain hard cast that has recently taken three Cape Buffalo. Hmm. This 10mm hammer can be used as back country protection, Detroit alley protection, home protection and as an EDC piece.
