If you are going to shoot over 800 yards have the rifle shipped with the 5-25 scope. The 5-25 is also illuminated with the Gunwerks reticle. Same price kids; in stock ships same day.
OPTIC CHOICE EXPANATION II: Cheap advice! Shooting under 800 yards go with the 3-18 all day for numerous reasons. Shooting over 800 yards go with the 5-25 magnification. That said if you end up shooting under 400 yards with the 5-25 you are at a disadvantage. If you have a shot opportunity on a massive Moose or Elk under 80 yards you are going to be hurting with the 5-25. Bad bad. If you are on a Brown Bear hunt and a bruiser comes around the end of the cove at 40 yards and you have the 5-25 scope you are dead if the bear is pissed. Cause you ain’t gonna find squat but hair at 40 yards with a 5x minimum optic.
THREE BALLISTIC TURRETS: The BDC has a dial in yards to your target. Moose at 750 yards dial to “7.5”. Grizzly at 300 yards dial to”3″. Range to target and dial that range on your turret good to go! Turrets take one full minute to change out if desired. Whoopee.
- Turret #1 is for the 170 Grain Terminal Ascent cartridge/bullet. Bonded construction penetrates deep on close targets, yet the polymer tip initiates expansion at long range. This is classified as a Big Game cartridge/bullet (Elk) but is fine on Antelope and deer. Four boxes of this ammunition is included.
- Turret #2 is for the monster slaying 195 Grain Berger Elite Hunter. Penetrates 2-3″ into the vitals and then expands creating a massive wound cavity up to 15″. Delivers maximum organ/tissue damage and extreme hydrostatic shock aiding in an ethical kill. Moose, Grizzly, Brown bear good to go. Four boxes of this ammunition is included.
- Turret #3 is shown in the pictures. It is an MOA turret; your bluetooth rangefinder (Gunwerks BR4) allows you to load the bullet data for ANY cartridge/bullet combo, range to target, and gives you an MOA number to dial to (shoot to). Same as your other turrets but rather than dialing in yards you dial your MOA “number”. Pretty simple.
MANNERS MCH-PH STOCK: Integral ARCA rail for tripod or the included bipod, integral picatinny rail for bipod, upgraded with flush cups for quick attach/detach sling assemblies. High cheek weld matches the Mark 5 scope. Flat bottom for extreme stability when shooting on bags; slight inward taper on comb to add comfort for recoil. Dual ambidextrous thumb shelves.
ULTRADYNE MUZZLE BRAKE: Strongly reduces recoil and minimizes muzzle rise; get’s the shooter back on target quicker and allows faster more accurate follow up shots. This brake is removable for a suppressor or if you want to cap the barrel. If you cap the barrel you decrease the OAL by 1.5 inches. If you unscrew the brake and want to put it back on you will need to use a couple timing tins (we used Surefire).
ATLAS DUOFOLD BIPOD W/ RRS MOUNT: Folds forward and/or backward. RRS quick release (knob) mount is a “dual” mount and will attach to the picatinny rail or the arca rail on the rifle.
