10MM CARTRIDGE: This pistol qualifies as an EDC carry piece for those whom demand the superior lethality of the 10mm and or an awesome back country backup for bears, lions, etc. Keep in mind the 10mm is used by the Slædepatruljen Sirius (Sirius Sledge Patrol) headquartered in Daneborg, Northeast Greenland as a defense against polar bears which the unit encounters during patrols; with full boat loads it has three feet of penetration. Three feet. The 10mm is the only caliber with massive ammunition availability which allows the end user to use as a defensive weapon with appropriate defensive loads against humanoids to an offensive hunting platform with full power loads and bullets manufactured for deer up to Cape Buffalo.
10MM CARTRIDGE PART DEUX: Let me be redundant here..
- there are 10mm loads that are readily commercially available that have the recoil of a 9mm and the lethality thereof.
- there are 10mm loads that have the ability to ethically kill Cape Buffalo, Brown Bear, etc
- there are 10mm loads for everything in between to include military offensive loads, home defense loads, deer hunting loads
- the 10mm cartridge is the most versatile cartridge offered in a 1911 Commander sized semi-automatic firearm
NAKED SLIDE CUSTOM: Invoice is in the pictures; all upgrades, too much to list. Highlights include custom “Naked Slide” upgrade. Rockegroup, LLC, it is widely acknowledged, was the first premier LLC to demand manufactures DELETE their manufactured names from their slides.. if you want “HAWG”, or “TALON”, or “SPECIAL FORCES” this ain’t the place. Subtle understated beauty. Note the custom finish; custom black diamond like finish (DLC) with a full “Blackout” package.
POLISHED FLATS: Upgraded “Polished Flats” . Prior to the DLC being applied the “flats” were hand polished by Nighthawk Custom on this stainless steel wonder.
FIVE LINE ARROWHEAD: Extremely rare “5 Line” arrowhead pattern on the slide is not only attractive but breaks light glare. The “5 Line” arrowhead pattern on this pistol is the only one we have seen on a Nighthawk to date. In addition this custom pistol has the “french border”, ball cuts, fluted barrel, crowned barrel.. too much to list!! The invoice and itemization is in the pictures!
SIX MAGAZINES: Nighthawk Custom ships their pistols with two magazines. This unit ships with six (four extra). Magazines are hand fitted and drop free. Capacity is 9+1 =10
BLACK HEINIE LEDGE CUSTOM SIGHT UPGRADE: These sights have a massive “U” notch rear sight with a bright white tritium infused front sight. This combination allows for instantaneous target acquisition in a CQB arena. Like when there is a Grizzly charging or there is a humanoid charging with a machete or or or. In addition these are OHESO approved sights. One Handed Emergency Slide Operation. Rockegroup, LLC also invented that term so when you go to Gunsite and Cory starts yapping OHESO this and OHESO that you will know where the term came from!
OHESO: One Handed Emergency Slide Operation works on the theory that you will not be unscathed in a gunfight. If you lose the ability to utilize an extremity ie arm you can use the other arm ie extremity to rack the slide off your pants, curb, wall, what have you by “hooking” or snagging the rear sight and racking the slide. The sights will hold the slide immobile while you run the frame. The Heinie “Ledge” will immediately grab whatever you snag them on.

AMMUNITION #1: Unopened 200 round case Hornady Law Enforcement 175 Grain Critical Duty #91256. Superior barrier penetration; Critical Duty® is loaded with the tough Hornady® FlexLock® bullet that delivers “barrier blind” performance when shot through common urban barriers. Surpassed the FBI tactical handgun ammunition tests (FBI Protocol). This design eliminates clogging and aids bullet expansion. A large mechanical jacket-to-core InterLock® band works to keep the bullet and core from separating for maximum weight retention, excellent expansion, consistent penetration and terminal performance through all FBI test barriers. Bright nickel-plated cases simplify chamber checks in reduced light. Additionally, all Critical Duty® ammunition is loaded with low flash propellant to help preserve night vision in low-light firing. Cartridges are considered nigh to waterproof and have over a 20 year shelf life.
AMMUNITION #2: Unopened 200 round case of Brown Bear/Grizzly hammers. Federal Premium Solid Core Syntech Jacket Flat Nose featuring a new Hi Tek coating. Coating is a polymer-based compound; its thermal stability allows it to handle more than any other coating today. The coating will protect against gas cutting with a high degree of wear and abrasion resistance. The coating prevents lead to bore contact, thus virtually eliminating lead fouling. Hard cast flat nose bullets are non-expanding, powerfully penetrative bullets that are designed with your woods defense needs in mind; whether fending off wild hogs or bears, the hard cast flat nose bullets are consistently effective in taking down any wild animals that you may encounter. In contrast to the round nose non-expanding bullets, the flat nose bullets are able to pierce through dense bodies of mass while maintaining their nose forward position, which is optimal for maximum penetration. Nickel-plated brass casings improve feeding, enhance corrosion resistance over traditional brass, improved cosmetics, and ease of cleanup during reloading. Nickel-plated casings will not tarnish like brass during storage or when in contact with foreign materials such as leather, moisture, and other metals.
