NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM TREASURER: “The Treasurer is the fourth installment in our Boardroom Series of 1911 pistols. The Treasurer is a 9mm pistol built on an officer frame and features a 3.8″ bull barrel. The heavy angle cuts in the slide aid in faster cycling for competitive shooters while windows show off the Gold Titanium Nitride crowned barrel. This pistol has a Heinie Black Ledge rear sight with a 14k gold bead front sight. We collaborated with Railscales to create the custom Ascend grips which provide a sure purchase on the pistol. A durable DLC finish will keep the Treasurer looking new for years to come. The front strap and mainspring housing have matching 25 lpi checkering to aid in maintaining a grip on the pistol during shooting”.
SIZE/WEIGHT: Same size as a Glock G43X subcompact albeit 1/4″ longer. Although the pistol qualifies as a subcompact it does not fit the hand as one; the flared magwell and high beavertail insures a full grip even for those with XL hands and the weight distribution allows the end user to operate as easily as a G19. In other words this pistol in this configuration could be used not only as your EDC pistol but for full bore training courses (which require a full sized duty pistol).

ROCKEGROUP “EZ” SLIDE CERTIFICATED: The slide on this brand new custom can be run with your thumb and forefinger. Manufactured so perfect the slide can be run with two fingers. A substantial percentage of humanoids have difficulty racking a slide; mangled hands, arthritis, old weak and infirm. Typically you need to move into the revolver arena. Smith & Wesson specifically built a pistol with a slide that is easier to operate in a .380 ACP caliber for those aforementioned humanoids called the “Shield EZ”. This custom 9mm racks just as “EZ”. No need to “rack the slide” you “slip the slide”. The above description is with the hammer down so you are cocking the pistol.. not just running the slide with the hammer “up” or cocked.
SIGHT PACKAGE: Complete front and rear Tritium Night Sight upgrade package. Heinie Ledge U notch rear sight with a single tritium dot, Trijicon tritium front sight (green tritium). Utilizes the “8” ball system. Simply put the front sight “dot” above the rear tritium “dot” and rock. These sights are faster than any red dot and any iron sights currently on the market to include the XS system. Over 90% of civilian and LE gunfights occur in the 5′ range (CQB close quarter battle). Red dots suck read last paragraph.
OHESO CERTIFICATION: One Handed Emergency Slide Operation (OHESO) works on the theory that you will not be unscathed in a gunfight. If you lose the ability to utilize an extremity ie arm you can use the other arm ie extremity to rack the slide off your pants, curb, wall, what have you by “hooking” or snagging the Heinie “Ledge” rear sight and racking the slide. The sights will hold the slide immobile while you run the frame.
SIX MAGAZINES (6) NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM: Ships with six (6) Nighthawk Custom 8+1 magazines with welded base, stainless steel, base pad.
CUSTOM NITRIDE FINISH: At 64 HRC, nitride is just six units below a diamond finish at 70 HRC. This means that the metal is solid and durable. This increase in the metal’s strength insures the firearm is better protected and results in a high resistance to erosion. Performs exceptionally well in areas with extreme temperatures, including cold, and places where the gun parts will be exposed to abrasives such as sand in the desert. A nitride finish’s smooth surface also means that the gun will be easier to clean and will need much less lubrication to keep it in good working order. This Nitride finish was upgraded to the “Smoke” Nitride finish.
TEST TARGET: Certificated target from Nighthawk Custom. All rounds shoot through the same hole at 36 feet. Thirty six (36) feet. Over 90% of gunfights occur within 5 feet. Standard response is a non issue. Precision shots non issue.

If the vast vast majority of gunfights are under 7 yards and of those the majority are under 5 feet why in the $%^& would you want a red dot? A red dot is a chunky thing on your pistol slowing response time. A red dot is hard to acquire vs iron sights unless you train religiously and only only use the red dot which sits higher on your pistol vs iron sights meaning you have to raise your head to find the freaking dot. A red dot is an electronic gadget. And you want a red dot on an EDC or carry pistol. Completely non-sensical.
LAW ENFORCEMENT AND RED DOTS: Current LE training dictates officers are to move away from their opponent in a gunfight and gain “distance” and “cover”. Typically move behind their vehicle and behind the engine block or run to cover if their unit is not available. This adds distance to an LE gunfight and future LEOKA studies will certainly express this fact. Certainly at 25 yards a red dot is without a doubt more accurate than iron sights. Increased distance between opponents tends to favor the red dot BUT at that distance you are in the arena of utilizing your carbine not your sidearm.
CIVILIAN RED DOT USE: Ok red dots are the rage cause they are cool and you can show off your special chunk of thingy on your pistol.. and look cool. Red dots are a hindrance for home defense and for EDC every day carry. Period. Yet you want a red dot on your compact and/or sub-compact pistol. What??
RED DOTS ARE GREAT: Gonna shoot 25 yards at the range and take all day to acquire your sights yes they will make you more accurate. Gonna be in a gunfight past 15 yards ok they can mebbee make you more accurate. How about you go the range and practice instead? Or stick the red dot on your carbine where it belongs..
RED DOTS ARE GREAT II: Wanna stick a red dot on a full sized duty pistol I have no problem. Farm, ranch, acreage and you are out in the boonies carrying ok awesome. Full sized pistol with a red dot. Have at it.
