SUPERMATCH 14.5″ LIGHT BARREL: Civilian legal 14.5″ barrel. The flash hider/compensator is pinned so it is over 16″ = civilian legal. The shorter overall length including the tactical flash hider/compensator makes this carbine easier to maneuver, ergonomically correct, and lets it “swing” easy. Turned from the finest 416R stainless steel and then lead-lapped, button rifled, air-gauged to ensure minimal bore diameter run out for peak accuracy. Cryogenically treated Supermatch™ barrel insures cold bore shot predictability, minimum thermal drift, outstanding accuracy and extended barrel life. Carbine will shoot any 5.56 or .223 you feed it; note the carbine is listed with the “Wylde” chamber. Note: The “light” barrel designation is a bit of a misnomer. It is the same as an M4 and would be better designated “medium”. Slightly heavier barrel than the “Ultra-Light” it allows for heavier strings of fire before cooling, increased mass for quicker cooling, the slight weight increase “steadies” the rifle for precision use, decreases recoil even further, and does something else.
ZERO RECOIL: As configured carbine has nigh to no recoil; custom build with the low mass bolt carrier, Generation 2 Silent Captured Spring System, custom JP Tactical Flash hider/Compensator, light-medium classified barrel.
THERMAL HEAT DISSIPATOR: The thicker barrel contour allows for faster heat dissipation and has slower heat build up than the ultra light barrel. In addition this carbine has a custom heat dissipator which increases mass which in turn allows the barrel to heat even slower and cool even faster during high strings of fire.
CUSTOM CTR-02: Full lightweight billet, standard JP anti-walk pins and upgrades. Trigger group 3.5-4 lb release with a seriously short reset. Poundage insures reliability on all standard military and civilian primers yet has a crisp break with virtually no reset allowing for exceptionally fast follow up. TRIJICON MILITARY ISSUE OPTICS: Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) designed specifically for the M4 weapon system (14.5″ barrel). It incorporates dual illumination technology using a combination of fiber optics and self-luminous tritium. This allows the aiming point to always be illuminated without the use of batteries. The tritium illuminates the aiming point in total darkness, and the fiber optic self-adjusts reticle brightness during daylight according to ambient light conditions. Provides enhanced target identification and hit probability out to 800 meters utilizing the Bullet Drop Compensator; reticle is marked with hashmarks out to 800 meters. Target at 400 put the reticle on “4”. Target at 600 meters put the reticle on the “6”. Government mandated steel braided retention devices for the windage and elevation caps. Government mandated Tenebraex ARD Anti Reflective Device aka SunGuard Kill Flash.
TRIJICON ISSUE SOCOM RMR RED DOT: The Official USSOCOM Red Dot Reflex Sight (MAS-D HRS). This is a red dot sight mounted on the top of the 4x power ACOG. The 4x ACOG has a reticle with hash marks out to 800 yards but is not for CQB close quarter battle; by simply lifting your chin the RMR red dot is used for your CQB work. The RMR is the issue Coyote Brown (anodized) and has the Gov’t mandated UID label on the top of the RMR housing.
OPTICS DISCLOSURE: This optic combination is in extensive use by Homeland Security and all branches of the United States military (unit specific). The 4x ACOG is literally a rifle scope with a fixed magnification of four power or 4X; as previously stated it allows the end user to engage, and hit, silhouettes out to 800 meters. This 4x power “scope” SUCKS FOR CQB CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE AND/OR ROOM CLEARING. It is not designed to use in close encounters. Forty meters out to 800 meters great but you cannot identify a target and engage properly at 5 or 10 yards.. which is why there is an RMR non magnified red dot mounted above the 4X ACOG. The SOCOM issue RMR or red dot IS USED FOR CQB CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE AND/OR ROOM CLEARING. By using a standard M4 stance the RMR red dot is instantly identified/acquired and is used the same as any AR mounted red dot. To use the mid range 4x ACOG a proper cheek weld is utilized. Pretty simple.
MAGPUL MS4 W/ MAGPUL ASAP SOCKET: ASAP QD (Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point QD) replaced the standard receiver end plate. Works with the included MS4 sling in the one-point configuration as a “one point” sling. Push-button quick disconnect sling coverts to a two point sling; utilize the installed forward receptacle with any of the six stock receptacles for two point sling use. The sling converts to one or two point in three seconds.
MAGPUL/MFT MAGAZINES: Ships with four magazines. Two issue 30 round black Magpul and two MFT “Wolverine” magazines, total four.
JP ENTERPRISES RAIL UPGRADES: Not on the itemization. JP sling socket mounted for two point sling use. Hand stop/barrier stop (JP).
OVERSIZED CUSTOM MAGAZINE RELEASE, RED: Upgrade, oversized, red in color. Allows the inexperienced shooter to immediately find their mag release and the experienced shooter a faster magazine change. Also quickly differentiates between your carbine when racked with others.
